I am glad that Brown served. But his ads violate Defense Department Instruction 1334.01, which states, The wearing of the uniform by members of the Armed Forces (including retired members and members of Reserve components) is prohibited … during or in connection with the furthering of political activities. That may seem like a small thing. But for a colonel in the Judge Advocate General corps to flout military regulations for partisan political gain is disturbing.
