I am going out on a branch here now... please dont push me off too fast. Isnt it a fact that once responsibility is accepted then the next phase is to start asking for compensatory damages, because you said yes I did it? Legally speaking why would you accept responsibility in such a situation? The fact that the government is offering to cover the expenses of burial, which seems to be out of the reach of the family, why not accept it and then move through the justice system to prove culpability? Why put yourself in debt to fund a burial or beg people, which may not cover the full financial obligations of burial? Why not ask for public money to finance legal expenses? I am sure someone out there has a better rationale that mine... lets here it.
