I am going to Hell. And eventhough I believe in God, I am neither Christian, Muslim or Hindu. At best I am is a fringe Buddhist as thats whats written on my personal documents. And if according to the teachings of all religion, those who are disbelievers will be cast into the deepest pits of Hell. Strangely, this thought does not bring me fear. It brings a sense of freedom instead. That I am able to see the goodness in all men untainted by their practises or the banner they fly under. That I am able to learn from the teachings of all religion without any vestige of guilt. That I am able to appreciate and experience their joy without any reservations. And having accepted that there is a place reserved for me in Hell, I find that I no longer have to worry about what sin to commit to get me there. I find my focus better aimed at the good things I can do while I still have the chance. If there is anything I learned this year, it is that there are so many things that can be done and countless people and Gods creatues in need of a helping hand. Whether it is the dog that was abandoned beside the road, the unwanted child left in a strangers home or the old parent left wandering in the streets of an unknown city. If there is anything I learned this year, it is that there are people from all creed who comes with a darkness in their heart that no religion can save. Those who revel in cruelty. Those whose soul harbours evil that is hidden behind a veneer of respect. Those who use the word of goodness to blind their acts of hatred. I only have one wish. That those who did those things will have a place right beside me when they leave this world. They deserve it more than I do but I will be glad to share my own pit with them. May God have mercy on us all. And His mercy is shown, not by the acts of those assigned to Hell for our sins. But a mercy shining through the true goodness of others. Those who without judgement, without bias and without rewards, steps forward to unmake all the evil that is done. Those whose existence embodies the strength of faith and the good in humanity. I am going to Hell but I have been blessed by being surrounded with those who are going to Heaven. Thank you. You guys know who you are. #Gift04
