I am going to another protest tomorrow regarding the Colliery Dams. I have been told that I should not be political as an entertainer, that protest is not my role. I say BS to that. I am not comfortable with the way our City is being run, and I intend to stand up and be counted as a citizen who cares about the place I live in. Last week I was told that I lose out on certain benefits because I speak too loudly and make some people uncomfortable. So be it. I am not prepared to sit back and watch the shenanigans that are going on regarding the Colliery Dams. Our Council is not being fiscally responsible, and they are not listening to the people who elected them. I was actually told that there is some retribution going on due to my actions. Let it come. As I read all of the minutes from Council meetings over the last 25 years, I know that the truth always comes out. Unfortunately when it does, the damage is done. I know that many more citizens are aware of issues today than they were 30 years ago. Let them be counted in November.. Let them show with their votes that we want transparency in decisions that affect our home.
