I am going to be bold and write about apostolic and prophetic - TopicsExpress

I am going to be bold and write about apostolic and prophetic ministry. In my world at this time I really dont have any need or desire to focus on or even discuss these functions as they are simply functions that in comparison to being a son are simply a job people do. This morning the Spirit stirred in me some things some may need to hear. They are important enough to discuss and mention because of the fact that they are so misunderstood and mishandled and there are those who make these functions to be greater then they need be and the focus of attention when they are not. i have been called upon to function in both prophetic and apostolic roles and have come to the conclusion that to gather men and make these ministries the focus of a gathering for me would be like inviting people to a feast only to talk for two hours about the table cloth and never serve a meal. i honestly could write a book on this subject but know that the message i have been given is the cross, the Christlife, and the kingdom. So here is simply an overview for you that you can use as a measuring stick for those claiming a place of influence in your life Prophetic and apostolic ministry is all about the formation of Christ in people. It is not about networks of churches or being over people. Anyone who claims to be over people does not understand the ministry or the purpose and their function even though they may have a function that is attributed to these gifts. in general, Prophetic ministries main function is to impart the vision or destiny of Christ in me each has in him. Apostolic ministry is about releasing people into that identity and destiny in Christ and establishing Christ as their life. Prophetic and apostolic ministry both are able to see and nurture Christ within and see the gifts and call withing people to call it forth and enable them to function as Christ in their spheres of influence. Apostolic ministry in particular has a call to do the work of Zechariah chapter 1:18:20, that is confronting and dealing with the 4 powers (horns) that fight with and bring low the people of God. These 4 powers are economic, religious, political power, and military or power of the flesh. Paul continually confronted these powers, and anyone who is an apostle will do so as well here is a list of some things they confront that have at their root spiritual forces empowering them. MILITARY POWER (WORKS OF THE FLESH) – Exerting influence over others through dominance, control, coercion, extortion, military might, intimidation, threats, and bullying, etc POLITICAL POWER – Influences on the formation and administration of institutions by various interest groups with self serving agendas. This is achieved through legitimate or illegitimate power structures within the institution. These political interests groups may have a power base from ethnic, cultural, issue related groups, religious groups, etc.A manifestation is patriotism or nationalism. RELIGIOUS POWER – Theologies, philosophies, ideologies, doctrines, traditions, religious regulations or worldviews that unite, motivate, and empower groups to exert power through political, military, or economic means. ECONOMIC POWER - Money and/or its representative physical resources or possessions. Money is translated to power as it can purchase influence; influence that can enable religious power and purchase political and military power. These 4 are the power sources of Babylon which is the harlot. Apostle are sent to deal with this. more later
