I am going to be overseas when VTAC offers come out, can I use a proxy to enrol on my behalf? When VTAC offers are released in Janu¬ary, students who are offered a place at the University of Melbourne are emailed all of the details they will need to accept their offer and start their enrolment online. Because Melbourne offers can be accepted online, students cannot use a proxy to enrol on their behalf. Students also review and submit legal documents while completing their enrolment, which is another reason why Melbourne cannot accept proxy enrolments. After they have accepted their offer online, all undergraduate students are invited to attend Academic Advice Day on campus, where they receive informa¬tion about how their course works and about finalising their enrolment. Aca¬demic Advice Day is an important step in the transition process for students and provides information about selecting subjects and course majors. Because of this, attendance at Academic Advice Day is strongly recommended for all commencing undergraduate students, although in 2014 some Faculty Academic Advice Day sessions will be available for students to access online. Note that students who are unable to attend Aca¬demic Advice Day 1 (in January) should contact the University and indicate that they will instead attend Academic Ad¬vice Day 2 (in February). Academic Advice Day 1 (for Round 1 VTAC offers) – Wednesday 22 January 2014 Academic Advice Day 2 (for Round 2 VTAC offers and all international students) – Thursday 20 February 2014 MORE INFO: aad.unimelb.edu.au
