I am going to blog/post to FB about the initiative to bring an Impact Hub to Asheville, on this long neglected FB page set up, https://facebook/pages/The-Social-Enterprise-Hub-of-Asheville/208467045890761 I think by Laura Hope-Gill. This is why I want there to be an Impact Hub in Asheville. I will be asking other people that question, as well as whether they think its time for an Impact Hub here. Are we still too early? Here is my first post on that Hub FB page. An entrepreneur approached me with a model for making the investors in a vertical I care about smart. So I engaged her. I created a tweet deck channel to understand more her flow of thinking and network building. Then I asked her these questions: Who are your partners? Who wants you to succeed? Who needs you and would feel so much more at ease and enlivened because your business exists? What does it do for you? Why do you have to do it? Why is your problem big enough to get my attention? What makes me think your approach is the right one? Why are you the right person to execute on this big problem to be tamed, with such a brilliant approach? I am posting here as part of the team trying to bring together an Impact Hub in Asheville, Steve Cooperman, Aaron Maret and Katie Cleary. I am looking forward to having a place downtown to meet with entrepreneurs and talk to fellow investors. Thats why I want there to be an Impact Hub in Asheville.
