I am going to end this year with a prediction...after a discussion on this topic over dinner out tonight I feel prompted to share my prediction....Law Enforcement has taken a beaten the last 3 months and as well several LE Officers have been attacked and killed as a result of a minority of people who have incited, i.e. protestors who have no direct information on any incident in this country.....Al Sharpton and the like who as well have no direct information on any incident involving LE Officers in this Country yet they incite people to force change even with violence...Elected Officials from the White House to the New York Mayor who placate to these small groups demanding change and demean all LE officers....they have no clue what Public Safety is much less how to demand change....An Attorney General who is as far as possible disconnected from LE across this Country yet he also preaches Change in the judicial system and policing in this Country....The lack of LE Leadership standing up and standing against the continued damning and demanding from these groups or speaking out as Sheriff Arpaio and Sheriff Clarke have saying it like it is and demanding these inflammatory actions stop....You know the silent majority rose when the Twin Towers fell in New York, or as President George W Bush alluded to just days after 9/11, they have awakened the sleeping dog....they are less than 5% of our population demanding all this change in Law Enforcement and most of those are demanding such because they would like to do as they wish committing crimes and back LE Officers down....NOW here is my prediction> The silent majority (law abiding) citizens in this Country, that other 95%, are starting to push back and demonstrating support of ALL LE Officers in this Country...I predict that trend, or push back, is going to continue to grow....MOST people in this Country recognize LE is not typically dealing with those who are God Fearing Good People when FORCE is necessary....The Thugs...People are not willing to give in to these people for such change and risk public safety or their own safety....Yes we absolutely make mistakes in the LE profession and yes there are individuals in the LE Profession who should not be there....We do the best we possibly can to weed them out and ensure mistakes are corrected to avoid them in the future....But NONE of the individuals/groups I mentioned above (that 5%) have suggested one single Change we should make in Law Enforcement, NOT ONE! So I am left confused what change they really want but I think I answered that above what they want is us to show empathy for criminals/thugs or be soft when they kill, rob, or attack LE Officers....That wont happen but I do believe the 95% I mentioned are going to make that 5% wish they never woke that sleeping dog...For the last 6 years that 95% has had enough Change in this Country....God Bless us All for the next 2 years and lets just see how close my prediction is in the next several months....Every single man and woman wearing a Badge in this Country sincerely appreciates that 95%....Happy New Year and Be Safe!
