I am going to sell my 1960 Falcon. I am in Richmond, VA. 1960 Ford Falcon 2-door. $7000 or best offer. Complete. Everything works but the horn. The heater controls all work, turn signal guages, all lights, etc. I bought this car as restored, but it is just in good shape not restored. I basically got ripped off. I wanted a show-quality car. So, I am going to eat the loss and sell. Your gain. This car is in good condition, but not perfect as I said. Here is what you will get: 144 Six Cylinder, 3 speed manual. The undercarriage is undercoated and nearly perfect. There is a small amount of rust under the front right bumper, but nothing scary. New interior (metal pieces are original and have not been painted.) The interior is completely custom made, no pre-made aftermarket here. The seat is a little soft on the driver’s side, seat springs could use some stiffening. The steering wheel is new. The interior chrome trim and handles are fair condition, no rot or damage, just light pits and blemishes for 50 years old. Paint is good. Some chips here and there, but overall it looks good. Doors are hard to shut. Glove box door is hard to shut and rattle when driving. Windows rattle, have new window scrapers and channels included. Front and rear windows could use new rubber, rear window may need a little bit of rust attention – it is difficult to tell for sure with the current rubber in place. The car is hard to start when cold, runs good after warmed up. The engine is noisy. New exhaust system, split in the back for dual tailpipes with chrome tips. One glasspack, sounds good. The transmission shifts solid, especially with the new shift collar and bushings. Heater controls all work, but could use some oil and use to be smoother. Here’s what I had to do to it when I got it: New passenger side motor mount New rear springs and bushings New shift collar and shifter arm bushings New dome light switch New dome light lens New Headlight switch The battery tray is solid, but a couple of corners are rotted a little. I stripped it and primed and painted it to stall any further damage. The battery hold down is designed for a battery with a lip on the bottom, but this battery doesn’t have one so currently it is not secured. New turn signal lever knob and shifter knob. The turn signal levet is about 1/2” shorter because the end was stripped and I cut and rethreaded it. Shifter has new rubber collar. Here’s what it will need soon: New blower motor – it works, but the bearings will squeal a little on startup when cold. New window channels and scrapers (included) I have a Pertronix 40KV coil and Ignitor module to hopefully cure the hard start New rear rubber bumper seal (included) Horn does not work – the contact is lost somewhere in the steering wheel. The contact that is attached to the hub behind the steering wheel is good and when grounded the horns blow like crazy. I think the speedo cable needs tightening, the guage fluctuates and the cable is noisy – but it is working. I have the firewall seals for the sterring column that can be installed. if interested. I also have an 8” rear end drum to drum from a 73 Maverick - no leaks and brakes are good. I believe the ratio to be 2.79. I also have a 289 6 bolt block and internals for a rebuild. No cam and lifters, but block is bored 30 over. Will also need the 30 over pistons. Original iron intake, no carb or accessory brackets. I was told the crank has been turned. I have more pictures upon request, and I can take any more
