I am going to start a thread here to try and enlighten people, in nice simple easy to follow terms, exactly how you are being being ripped off, who is ripping you off and why you are being ripped off. See how they are conning you. By they I mean Cameron and crew - because they are all the same really - Labour, Tory, Lib-Dem (they change their name every 10 years!), Greens, SNP, SSP... whoever... whatever the name its the same game. Look at it as a reassurance that the feeling of great loathing and mistrust of the government you have, is well founded. You are right to loath them. And this is a reason why... Just one reason, but quite a profound one. About MONEY. Over the last months I have been working with the idea of starting a local currency: The Perth Pound... as in the Totnes Pound, the Bristol Pound, the Brixton Pound, the Lewes Pound... all ideas based on the Bradbury Pound. What has amazed me is the incredible ignorance of the public at large as to what that piece of paper in your wallet, or more more likely these days, in your letter box informing you of how much you owe some financial institution, is all about. Nobody knows. And very few people who do know, will tell you! (... and of course its not taught in school, because nothing worth knowing is taught in school, thats not what school is for...)
