I am going to vent now....hang on! I ran out to the store and in front of me in the check out line is a woman I dont know well, have seen her around town. I nod and say hello. She is dressed quite nicely and I comment on how pretty she looks. She says she is coming from church and that maybe it would be a good thing if I went to church as well! I smiled. She said I am serious. I understand you are divorced and are still alone. Perhaps your life would turn around if you had the appropriate guidance I chuckled and said that I was perfectly fine. She smiled and said, Do you know Jesus? Seriously. She asked me this. I smiled and responded with, I never met him. She sniped back,That is the attitude I am talking about. If you came to church, maybe you would learn to be more open to other ideas. I smiled and said, Thank you, however, I am not a believer in organized religion. I am a spiritual person. I have studied many faiths, and it all comes down to the same thing. I believe we should love one another and be non-judgemental and accepting of one another. I appreciate your concern. With that she glared at me and said People like you are what is wrong with this world! Geez Louise! I should have asked her if she was referring to the White Jesus or the Black Jesus. So...I recover (it didnt take much) from that one...and head to the pharmacy. Standing in the pharmacy is a friend who asks me how things are going. I tell her fine,thanks. She then begins to tell me that she is surprised I am fine. Didnt I know that that my husband was with the woman that he cheated on me with 3 years ago? She continued....it is OK...you are a pretty woman, you will find someone else... Hahahahahaha...WTF? That one cheered me up! Life in the fast lane...
