I am grieving in my heart tonight as catch my pillar to bed. Grieving because some Liberians (patients) at the Island Clinic Ebola Treatment Center may not get the needed care and treatment tonight all because of the unresolved issues between the Authorities of the Ministry of Health and the Health Workers. As I drove home this evening, I witness lot of health workers standing around the facilities and not willing to get dress in their respective PPEs, though there are patients on their dying bed. As we engage in conversation, the news was broken of the death of a health worker from one of the wards. Sadly, while stay standing there to see who I could convince to go in, an ambulance came with patients and had to go back with the patients only because the of this situation. Not even the sprayers at the red zone entrance of the facilities were available to perform their respective duties of spraying patients and the vehicles. This is an eye witnessed account and NOT the normal they say.... In my mind, not one Liberian deserves to die because of these unresolved issues. My passionate appeal to both parties is that we urgently find a common ground very speedily by tomorrow morning as we continue our joint fight against the deadly EBOLA Virus. Together, we can make it.
