I am growing rather tired of the annual assessments of what JFK - TopicsExpress

I am growing rather tired of the annual assessments of what JFK accomplished in his 34 months, and what he might have been if he had lived, and all the great potential that he allegedly had. I propose that we review his presidency in the facts of what did happen, and what he DID do: the most important of which - the most lasting, the most impactful on the USA and the world - was his choice of a successor. Ever think about how they judged leaders in ancient Rome? The choice of a successor was considered among the most important elements of any leadership review in those days. If youre interested, my thoughts on the matter are in my Illinois Review column today, here: illinoisreview.typepad/illinoisreview/2013/11/lessons-in-succession-throughout-the-ages.html John F.
