I am guessing I am not alone in what I am about to say. Our hearts tell us, as we read postings from Craiglist, FB, friends of friends in need, etc. that we want to rescue them all. Would that we could. Sometimes I can honestly admit it is very easy to go into emotional overload -- laced with a little how could they? The stories tear at our heart strings -- especially if you volunteer for, or follow more than just one rescue. I could go on and on. This post is not to pass judgment on any of that -- there always is a story behind each one. Some are heart breaking, some make you want to ... well you can take that thought from here. The purpose of this post -- To all that is LRCP ... from the Board, to the many many behind the scenes people that make this all work -- to the people (many friends) that post here almost every day -- I am thankful for you all. And I am thankful that you were able to take in what makes 4 LRCP alums for me ... all seniors -- all with something that made them less then perfect. They are more than perfect to me. To any who might agree .. can we all say a collective Woof of Thanks to all that is LRCP!!
