I am happy to announce that I have been readmitted to the University of California, Davis for Spring Quarter 2014. These past few months have been the most difficult time of my life and I couldnt have survived without the love and support of so many incredible people and I cannot thank you all enough. Winston Churchill said A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. That is the best way I can move forward after this incredibly difficult experience. I have realized the extent of the harm that the bureaucracy of this massive university can have on people, especially on students, and I am dedicated to ensuring that students receive the best experience possible at this incredible university that I love so much. It was my mission when I ran for ASUCD Senate to make sure that the administration heard the concerns of students and I will continue to do this until the day that I graduate, and then I will continue to do it as an alum. Because without students this place would be a high tech research facility with no funding and no heart, and without students the human race would not be able to progress into the future. I cant wait to get back to work, but honestly I never stopped working. And for all those people who used the excuse that you are not a student to invalidate my opinions when you disagreed with them, guess what? Im back and its game time. But it aint about how hard you hit. Its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. Thats how winning is done-Rocky
