I am happy to capture this moment of Harmonium history. Arriving - TopicsExpress

I am happy to capture this moment of Harmonium history. Arriving in Prague at dusk, we headed to the central square for an impromptu concert, gathering an audience of about 100 quickly. Although in a pedestrian zone, we were apparently in the path of evening garbage truck, who was not about to yield (hear beep at 3:47). While the basses flattened themselves against the wall, the rest of us grabbed our belongings and rushed towards the backing-up audience, singing all the while and earning their applause! The first soloist is my daughter Virginia Hicks—it was her 15th birthday. Next you hear Ken Hess, and finally, the late great Alan Champion. Oh, and the last “imbeni” is Marc Persing, now in the Met Chorus.
