I am happy to report that we FINALLY have a Stubbys Heroes Director of Educational Efforts!!!! Please join me in welcoming Fiona Harris!!!! Fionas zeal and excitement is contagious. She first worked w us at Pride and told me shortly afterwards that our non judgmental, compassionate approach, and our philosophy of working for both canine and community, and the focus on education and legislation, was what she was looking for. In her role, Fiona will work on organizing and launching programs such as the Stubbys Heroes Little Hero program, and working w local groups that believe in investing time and effort on programs for children and teens. She will also build up the Matt Cole Youth Council to build up young leaders in our community, and work on exciting and fun programs like Walk Fido! This is an outreach program where we visit neighborhoods with collars and leashes to introduce ourselves, to encourage people to walk their dogs, and in turn, we create partnerships and share resources for future services needed that include spay/neuters, vaccinations, and crate training. Please join me in welcoming Fiona who is already working on a project to help a local organization of kids that build dog houses for dogs living outside. Im so happy and proud to call Fiona Stubby Familia. ;) #itsworking
