I am happy to share that my dear friend and artist Carly Mazur has placed some of her original pieces at Talisman for purchase. Carly Janine Mazur is a Connecticut illustrator based out of Shelton. She attended Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, Massachusetts graduating in 2010 with a BFA in Illustration. So far in the course of her artistic career, Carly has been a tattoo apprentice, a teacher, and currently works on projects involving Lord of the Rings, Call of Cthulhu, and Lightspeed Magazine. Strictly dedicating her time to art since resigning from her teaching position last year, Carly paints from home, sending her work to galleries across the country. Exploring surreal worlds and concepts, Carly immerses her figures into abstract situations often moody and emotionally disruptive. Her inspiration comes from human interaction. Interaction with self, others, and the world. This emotional stance is what encompasses all work that Carly creates, from interpretations of myths and fairytales, to freelance work and personal work.
