I am having a lot of conversations with people about the scale today... boy have I ever learned that, that thing is a joke!! Check this out: I am 55. I stepped on stage for my competition at 133-135 (not sure). I was 13.5% body fat. I stepped on the scale this week and went up to 138. Did I cry and panic !?!? Nope... I still pinched 13.7%. Wanna know what threw my weight up on that dumb scale?? Cheat meal bloat, heavy lifting, more water, more sodium, and adding pre workout formula back in back in my diet. Did I gain weight... technically yes I did! Did I gain fat... nah. The scale told me I gained weight! It told me I should freak out and go back to dieting! The body fat caliper told me I was still lean, and on point. If I let the scale dictate my success Id be in big trouble! Women bloat, they hold water like crazy (up to 10lbs if not higher depending on the month). So this is why I stopped caring about my weight. I weighed in just to play around and compare to my body fat caliper pinch. Muscle is more dense than fat! Dont live by the scale!
