I am having an internal controversy about liking girls selfies . I sometimes do it... and other times I do not. It has nothing to do with whether or not I think they are just good looking. For example, I sometimes do not like the selfies of girls who are very good looking. I usually think of the person behind the picture first. Is this a person I admire for other reasons? Yes, that is the case for me. I wonder if when we like a girls selfie, are we promoting a bad thing? Am I, for example, sending her and society the wrong message? Is the only measure of being a girl tied only to how she looks? I dont think so, either. I dislike tremendously the notion that a girls worth lies in only how she looks. There is more to this equation, but society promotes this theme, and girls are as guilty as men of promoting it. By the way, it happens to men too, but not as much. What is weird is when you find a good looking girl that thinks she is ugly and fat. Those are the toughest girls you have to deal with. It matters not that, when you ask men what they think, it does not count. Women actually go by other womens opinions on the matter. We are never going to end looking at beautiful people. We all need to understand that beauty really starts on the inside and works its way out.
