I am having some serious second thoughts as to whether I want to sign on with RJ Express. RJ mentioned to me today when we were talking that he holds his company drivers financially responsible for any and all damages to his trucks and that has been on my mind all day and tonight I went on the Truckers Report and it was verified on there that one of his drivers who was using the truck he wants to give me broke down 3 weeks in a row and the driver was handed a bill for a new rear on the truck as well as an engine rebuild and today RJ had told me that truck just got a new rear and an inframe rebuild. Put all that together and it makes me very nervous about that whole deal. Back when I was still independent my truck needed an inframe rebuild and that cost $19,000 til it was all said and done and I will be damned if I will pay a bill like that for someone elses company truck. I am thinking it may be in my best interest to respectfully decline his job offer and continue shopping for another carrier...
