I am hereby sharing my posting in my home page (it is still available with the comments of our members) on 14 March 2011 to recall the concept for the cadre review was that get the maximum benefit to our cadres with the support of court cases, recommendation of 6th pay commission etc. The cadre review is basically applicable for organised cadres. This time Govt has agreed to include all employees of AIR &DD since the 6th CPC did not made any study on our cadre wise demands. it was clearly advised by the then Secretary I&B, Smt Asha Swaroop that we should clearly follow the general recommendations of 6th CPC, rules of DOP&T and other rules which are applicable for central govt employees, if it has to be accepted by Ministry of I&B, DOP&T and MInistry of Finance. It is also a fact that decision of the Apex court will be helpful for us in support of our demands. If the proposals are accepted by the government then it was one of the solution to get rid of separate court cases on the same issue if it is granted to some body! If everything has to be implemented through the court cases then it is not necessary to make all efforts for cadre review.
