I am hesitant to ask, but really trust my friends and family so I - TopicsExpress

I am hesitant to ask, but really trust my friends and family so I will proceed. My eldest son has a very real and unhealthy fear of weather due to an incident a while back. He has had this fear for a couple of years now and it has reared its ugly head this school year like nothing I have seen. His classroom is somewhat outside of the main school building this year and he has windows. It is very much still enclosed and within the school building, but you have to go out of the door and it seems more outside than it really is. His teacher is doing everything she possibly can to help alleviate his fears, but there is only so much we can do. He changes classes early afternoon and then he is completely fine because he cannot see out of any windows at that point. I know this sounds silly, but to him, it is very real and he has built up all of this panic and anxiety before we even get to school. He has been crying in the mornings and today, today was the worst it has been. I was trying to make him get out of the car and he just was wailing in the backseat saying his stomach hurt. I believe it did, but it hurt because of what he is doing to himself. All he kept asking was is the weather going to get bad today. He asks this every day whether it is clear, blue sky or not. It is to the point now that I feel we need some help. I even spoke to Aarons psychologist briefly about it, but her specialty is autism especially children with Asperger syndrome. She gave me some things to consider; however, I believe Preston needs to actually be able to speak to someone about this and get some things aired out to someone besides mom and dad. So, I am asking if anyone of my contacts on FB know of someone that we could speak with concerning this problem. Preston is fully aware that I am asking this he is the one who has ask for help and wants to talk with someone. Please, if anyone of you know of someone we can trust, point us in that direction.
