Key Responsibilities: Day to day tasks/projects of the hosting department that this position would manage: Configurations Regular security patching Monitoring/Benchmarking/Capacity-planning improvements Documentation Regular/proactive and ad-hoc server maintenances Handle communication with data-centers as needed Implementing/maintaining a configuration management system (puppet) As a part of hosting team, this position would participate in our “On Call Duty”: OCD schedule rotates between 4-5 people, who each take turns of 1 week if “On Call Duty” The person “On Call” is responsible for hosting infrastructure 24/7 during that week The person can also be reached after hours by customers with a special “SLA” “On the Call” person may escalate the issue as needed Plan, Develop, Test and Document advanced eCommerce solutions for our clients Develop customer specific and generic Magento modules Develop integrations between Magento and 3rd Party Products Develop our own hosting environment which supports a large number of our clients Regularly attend internal trainings/educations to maintain required skill set Develop solid solutions that are generic and reusable Candidate Profile: Strong background in administrating Linux and networks, ideally also server hardware Programming experience, preferably with PHP and Python Experience with Bash scripts Experience with Puppet is a plus Additional advantage if you are familiar with Cloud, Storage and Monitoring technologies Fluent English both verbal and written Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills High degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, clients and partners Required to travel from time to time Flexibility to adjust to new processes Capable of estimating / forecasting time to complete specified project tasks Benefits Vaimo offers superb training and career development opportunities within a friendly and dynamic work environment.
