I am honored by the opportunity to serve Mississippi’s 2nd Congressional District in the 114th Congress. For twenty-one years I have served the citizens of Mississippi and this country. Although our country faces challenges on multiple fronts, we have enjoyed over forty-six consecutive months of job growth and witnessed the expansion of healthcare coverage to millions of Americans. In the 114th Congress, I will continue to work with President Obama to extend access to healthcare, repair our broken immigration system and continue to push job creation in our growing economy. I look forward to continuing to help our country remain competitive through investments in our constituencies and especially our youth. I urge my colleagues to strengthen the safety net the federal government should provide and honor our commitment to protect those who sent us to Washington.
