I am hoping Shannon Delp had the smelling salts ready yesterday, since she told me she would faint if the Hated Dallas Cowboys beat the Seahawks. Ha ha. I missed that game, but I saw several replays of a Dallas catch that appeared to be out of bounds, and since the HDC won by a mere touchdown, it could be said they were given the game by the generous officiating staff. The Eagles, on the other hand, blew the Giants off the field with the first shutout game since December 1. 1996, I think. I must admit I expected the Giants to give us a lot of trouble. I did feel sorry about Cruz tearing a tendon. I like the Giants (except when theyre playing the Eagles, of course), and Im just glad Cruz was hurt trying to grab one of Elis bafflingly off-target passes rather than because of something the Eagles did. Of course, to Cruz, it probably doesnt matter. Hes most likely done for the season. And that probably is going to hurt morale in Giantsland. But were still #1 after that 27-zip game. And even though Nick Foles still needs to learn some fancy footwork and take some running lessons from Russell Wilson, at least he didnt yawn a lot like he tends to do during night games. So it was a great game, after all. And, from what we saw on the sidelines, when McCoy isnt rushing, hes teaching his teammates to play Pattycake. Fortunately, most of them are more coordinated on the field than they are on the sidelines.
