I am hoping someone may be able to answer this question. Is it possible for animals to give up the will to live like humans sometimes do.My chinese crested powderpuff for those that do not know the breed he is the fluffy version of the hairless dogs.He is 12yrs old and has a heart condition and on meds and Thursday I took him to the vets he was breathing really hard and and the vet told me to increase his diuretics as he had a build of fluid so that happened and he was jumping around and all happy and then he stopped eating on thusday night and all day Friday no eat and just laying around so back to the vets yesterday morning and he still had a lot of fluid so he gave him an injection of frusemide a diuretic and said he would be back to his normal self in 4-5hrs that was 24hrs ago and still not eating and have to force the pills down his throat and he just lays there but his eyes look so distant like he has gone and no tail wagging when I pat him just no response at all from him and he is still breathing really hard.I just get the feeling that he does not want to be here anymore and I apologise for the long read you have to do.But he is my baby and I love him so much it is tearing hubby and I apart watching him and trying not to cry in front of him.We have had him since he was 8 weeks old.
