I am hoping someone will be able to suggest a way in helping me find my Dad listed in the 1940 census. He was living with his Uncle, Aunt, cousins (and possibly) his Grandfather in Montgomery Alabama. His uncle was supervisor at the Shearman Concrete Pipe Company and there was a small house attached to the office at 1400 Parallel in Montgomery (listed as N. Montgomery in the 1941, 42 and 43 local phone directories). Our last visit to Montgomery (5 years ago) I took his brother, sister and one cousin out to the plant (that still stands) and the office manager was kind enough to let us come in and walk around. There were old pictures from when the plant was in operation while my great uncle was supervisor and what a flood of memories this sparked for my Dad, Aunt and Uncle!! I am wondering if it is possible they were missed due to the enumerator thinking this was JUST a business. Any suggestions GREATLY appreciated!!
