I am humbled to inspire this. Let me tell you, Ive had people read my little post about the hearts and tell me that I just need to stop trying to be my kids friend and start parenting. And I can read through that heart post and see it in a hippy-dippy kind of light where it looks like Ive lost it and put the kids in charge, but no, thats not what its about. This is what was in that post: It was a physical reminder in a desperate time to kick me into being the kind of mom I want to be - not a shrieking screaming mom, not my kids peer, but a grown up, the leader of my children who can treat people around her with respect even when she is angry.
