I am in SHOCK! I just got some really BAD NEWS from my friend in Sweden. She got Clinton from us years ago, before the fanconi test was available. He later on was diagnosed with and tested as prob affected for fanconi. She bred him to a prob clear female. And NOW we found out one of their offspring is diagnosed with fanconi, the vet in Sweden is VERY certain he has fanconi and not diabetes and from what I learn, this dog has NOT been tested for fanconi yet. So because both parents are not DIRECT tested, thats where the little percentage of inaccuracy comes into place? This dog is 8 and its just showing symptoms. Like I said her vet is VERY certain he has fanconi. Its been awhile since I have a fanconi dog, who should owner get in touch with to get on protocol right the way??
