I am in awe of my son. I am really is awe of all three of my kids in how well they handle all of lifes hardships and obstacles that are thrown our way but right now I am really inspired by my youngest and how well he has handled the IV attempts. For hours we have been attempting IV and checking for them. Its all very upsetting to him everything he sees a tourniquet or needle or a lab tray for that matter. Just now they put the IV in successfully and he had to hold his arm still on his own while they secured the IV and he did even though he was hurting and scared he was so brave and so tough. I told him I was so amazed by his strength and wanted to reward him for his bravery. I asked what he wanted. Anything. He could have it. He said he wanted the hospital gown off and to wear his own shirt. When I asked if there was anything at all he wanted he said no mommy I am good.
