I am in love with you. With your personality, your presence, your words, the steps and breaths you take, your intelligence, your awkwardness, the fact that you laugh at your own jokes, your lack of humor which makes you even funnier; I am in love with your whole being. And I am in love with your smile, which you hate, I am in love with the jokes you make that make no sense at all and I am in love with the safe feeling that I get when I am around you. You make me forget all the bad things and you make me laugh and you make me feel safe. Your eyes look like coming home. You told me you wanted to see me happy and felt sad about me being unhappy. You told me you noticed sparkles in my eyes when I spoke of things I loved. I know you are unhappy, and it kills me, because if there’s one person that deserves to be happy it is you. Other people don’t seem to like you, because you’re different, and don’t quite know how to make friends. Yet I have fallen inarguably in love with you. Not only with all your good sides - how you treat me, the way you care about me the way no one else ever has, the way you talk to me even when I am looking like shit and I am feeling like shit - but with your bad sides, too. You are my silver lining. You are the first flower in spring. The cup of tea that warms your hands on a cold winter evening, you’re the first ray of sunshine that brightens the lake from afar. I want to tell you how beautiful you are, and how none of your imperfections make you any less of the wonderful person that you are. And that when you told me home is not a solid place, but a person you love, to which you can come with every problem and feeling of sadness, whom will love you on your bad days and whom will care about you no matter what, I thought of you. I thought of you.
