I am in the process of getting out of my comfort zone when it - TopicsExpress

I am in the process of getting out of my comfort zone when it comes to photos, and learning about the different types of photos I wouldnt normally take. 2 weeks ago, I did landscapes.... this evening I was set free in Goven Mbeki ave, PE at 5pm with a group of photographers with the aim of getting one decent photo of someone. Quite scary walking down town with your camera in hand, but after I relaxed and gotten used to the idea, I managed to get in peoples faces and connect. It was such an amazing 2 hours, showing random people on the street their faces on the little screen, but also to realize that they all have a story to tell. Total humbling experience as I met Jeremy, 63, whos been living on the street for a few years. After the look on his face when I showed him his picture, I sat down with him on the pavement and chatted about life, God and being happy. I sat there listening for like 15 minutes, as he just told me his story, true or not, it was a great story. Not once did he ask me for money or food. He just spoke non stop because someone cared enough to ask. I havent taken the photos off my camera yet, but even if there are no decent photos there, I at least got to realize all over again that I have a hell of a lot to be grateful and thankful for.
