I am in truly a euphoric state! The UNIVERSITY OF REDLANDS SCHOOL OF MUSIC FLUTE DAY with guest artist, internationally acclaimed flutist, conductor and my beloved mentor from Yale University, Ransom Wilson was such a tremendous success!! -- I am truly in awe with such gratitude to him and his extreme generosity, amazing expertise and world-class artistry that he shared so brilliantly and tirelessly all day with superb master classes and a sublime recital in the evening!! I am so grateful to him. And am also so grateful for the wonderful turn-out from the southern California music community that traveled far and near to attend this historic event --- thank you to all who attended! And - wow -- the aMAZing talent involved that created such an incredibly high musical and inspirational atmosphere the entire day and evening! Huge thank yous to the entire U of R School of Music administration and staff, SAI, Cynthia Kelley of Flutacious with a fabulous display of flutes and great supporter Charles Wheeler for their tireless generosity -- and the entire U of R Flute Studio that I love so much and fabulous pianists that played so incredibly, Stephanie Lovell, Lara Urrutia, Mike Burgos and Nelms McKelvain and all of the brilliant young artists that performed: Ramakrishnan Kumaran, Kelly McGrath, Yajie Wang, Nicole Hans, Melissa Hulett, Michelle Chavez and Victoria Jones! All that put in so much time and dedication and sheer love of music that all came shining through --- and a phenomenal recital by Ransom Wilson that will go down in the history books as other-worldly amazing!!
