I am incredibly proud of the positive race we have run. We have been singularly focused on the challenges Tampa families face. When Ed Narain started making negative phone calls against me, I turned the other cheek. We started our mail campaign, and it it was all positive. When Ed Narain spent 25 out of 30 minutes in endorsement interviews railing against me, I ignored it. We started our radio campaign, and it was very, very positive. When Ed Narain ratcheted up his language against me in numerous debates, I let it lie. And in all of my door knocking - and weve knocked over 16,000 doors at this point - weve been strictly positive about our vision for a better Tampa. But at some point Tampa voters need to know that the person they are electing to go fight for them is capable of doing that. And at some point a man has to defend himself, his faith, and his family against ongoing attacks. So this week we finally started telling voters the truth about Ed Narain. Who he is endorsed by, who he is backed by, and who some of his campaign contributors are. I stand by those comparisons. I made the decision that if I wasnt willing to fight to defend my own reputation, it was unfair to ask Tampa voters to let me fight for them in Tallahassee. I look forward to the next two weeks of spirited debate with Mr. Narain. And as always I will work hard every single day to earn your support, your prayers and your vote for Florida House District 61 on Tuesday, August 26th.
