I am intrigued by this statement issued by the pro-government faction of BFUJ and DUJ. Its a shame that our journalist community is divided, right through the middle, across party political lines. A divided BFUJ is bound to be impotent and like an impotent man, is unable to produce anything!! One can notice from the statement below that the signatories were more eager to save their bread and butter, that comes from the residuals of the regime, than to protest the indecent remarks made by the AL lawmaker! These so-called journalist leaders know very well where the root of power of the NGonj lawmaker lies. They also know who singlehandedly took charge of brightening the image of the lawmaker and his family like tooth whitening cream! However, unfortunately, these leaders cum secret party workers are too scared to even mention that. That is why I called them lapdogs in an earlier post! নারায়ণগঞ্জের সরকারদলীয় সাংসদ শামিম ওসমান যে ভাষায় সাংবাদিকদের উপর আক্রমন করেছেন তার কঠোর নিন্দা জানিয়েছেন দেশের সাংবাদিক সমাজ । বাংলাদেশ ফেডারেল সাংবাদিক ইউনিয়নের সভাপতি মনজুরুল আহসান বুলবুল ও মহাসচিব আবদুল জলিল ভূঁইয়া এবং ঢাকা সাংবাদিক ইউনিয়নের সভাপতি আলতাফ মাহমুদ এবং কুদ্দুস আফ্রাদ সহ চট্টগ্রাম, খুলনা, রাজশাহী, বগুড়া, দিনাজপুর, যশোর, নারায়ণগঞ্জ , ময়মনসিংহ এবং কক্সবাজার সাংবাদিক ইউনিয়নের নেতৃবৃন্দ অবিলম্বে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করে বক্তব্য প্রত্যাহারের জন্য শামিম ওসমানের প্রতি আহবান জানান।
