I am just exhausted from the bullshit coverage and commentary of this government shut down. Lets, once and for all, clear something up: United States laws are NOT negotiated once they have already been voted on and approved by both houses of Congress, and withstood legal challenges in the Supreme Court. Bills are negotiated PRIOR to voting on them. Once they become law, there is no more negotiation to be done. Budgetary issues ARE negotiated. But that means you negotiate which money goes where, and swap some of what you want (in terms of dollars) for things the other side wants. It DOES NOT mean you get to trade laws you dont like for money. If you dont like a law, you work until you have the VOTES to alter or eliminate it through the LEGISLATIVE PROCESS. Thats how it works folks! Glad we settled it. If you still dont get it, you can stay after class for remedial study, or go jump in a lake. If you merely refuse to accept it, you can kiss my ass.
