I am just getting over one of the worst cold/flus Ive had in years. Still terribly weak and somewhat feverish. I was frustrated because none of the cold/flu meds made a dent. No effect at all. So I did some googling and figured out the problem. Most cold meds used to have pseudoephedrine. I think thats where Sudafed got its name. In any case, back in 2005 when people began to buy the stuff in bulk to transform it into crystal meth congress passed a law restricting its distribution. Now most cold meds you pick up at the grocery store contain a far less effective drug (forgot its name) along with lots of acetaminophen and maybe some sleep-inducing stuff. But, thanks be to God, you can still get pseudoephedrine without a prescription if you go to the pharmacy counter and ask for it. I read all this yesterday morning at the height of man-cold despair and then quickly dispatched my wife to get some. Night and day difference. Ask for the 12 hour Sudafed with pseudoephedrine...you wont regret it.
