I am just so upset about the game tonight. This is the last I will post about it. I still support the UT student-athletes, but I will have serious trouble supporting this university unless UTPD apologizes to me and reimburses me for the tickets they unfairly confiscated. We were walking past gate 5 on our way to our gate (gate 10) when a UTPD officer asked to see my ticket. Thinking nothing of it, I showed him my ticket, which was connected to Robs ticket. The officer then decided I was too intoxicated to enter the stadium and took BOTH our tickets. First of all, I was NOT too intoxicated to enter the stadium. Second, I was not given a breathalyzer test or field sobriety test to determine if I was intoxicated. Third, even if I WAS too intoxicated to enter the stadium, that would be irrelevant because we were not even trying to enter the stadium! Fourth, even if I had been drunk and trying to enter the stadium, there was no reason to take my husbands ticket as well! Did i fight? No. I walked to the corner and cried. I am a law abiding citizen and was just so caught off guard that I was not prepared to fight back and/or protest. I am furious and have never felt so publicly disrespected and embarrassed.
