I am literally flabbergasted! During a random conversation with someone in the educational field, I was made aware that parents are being made to pay FINES for the absence of their child from school! My question was why wont the parent simply take the child out of school? I was informed that parents are not given this information as an option because it causes the revenue of the school district to go down. I wondered why not just encourage the children that have gotten fed up with school to attain their GED. The response was the same, the districts revenue would suffer. Here is a statistic: The ethnic distributions of candidates, as shown in Table 6 on page 29–30, have remained relatively stable during the 2002 series of the GED® test. However, this year there was an increase in testing for two ethnic groups: Hispanic and Pacific Islander/Hawaiian. Of all candidates who indicated ethnicity when they tested in 2012, 44.3% were white, 24.3% African American, 14.7% Hispanic, 9.9% Pacific Islander/Hawaiian, 4.0% American Indian/Alaska Native, and 2.2% Asian. The percentage of African American test-takers has increased from 20.6% in 2003 to 24.3% in 2012. - 2012 ANNUAL STATISTICAL REPORT ON THE GED® TEST People of color are being deliberately kept in a position to supply this corrupt system with the money and the bodies that it needs to sustain itself! If you as a parent are faced with multiple fines and penalties because you are unable to adequately encourage your child to attend class there are a few things you can do! 1.) Take your off of the school attendance by simply going in and stating that you intend to home school. I encourage all parents that utilize this option to actually teach your child! There is so much knowledge that you can give them that is not being given to them in the classrooms. Also, be very aware that in some states, educational department officials may come to monitor the progress of the child. Therefore, records will need to be kept, i.e. number of hours in instruction, grades, and outings. To the best of my knowledge, there are no set curriculum that must be followed, there is no standard text book that must be used, and there is no minimum amount of time that must be dedicated to instruction. The only requirement is that the child be taught writing, reading, math, and CITIZENSHIP! 2.) If your child is 16-18, you can take your child to take the GED. BOOM! High school is completed! No more arguments, no more skipping class, no more paying fines and community service for YOU! A further benefit of this route is that your child can enroll in college courses (if they are choosing to seek higher education) or they can enter the work force with a diploma/GED. Isnt funny that no employer ANYWHERE cares whether it is a high school diploma or a GED! We need to wake up and take custody of our children again! Government education is not free! We place our children into this corrupt system at an early age and willingly submit to all that they instruct us to do with OUR children; while they with hold vital information and solutions to problems that effect their children as well as ours. Yet, children and people of color lead EVERY unsavory and negative statistic that is published! Start questioning what you are being told! There are more whites taking GED test than there are blacks! Period! But, in our community we act like that is something to be ashamed of! Stop buying into the system...- TrueBlack Here are some more facts: theatlantic/national/archive/2012/09/the-truancy-trap/261937/2/
