I am loathe to describe last nights dream in case it reveals me as the complete geek that I am. However, here goes: I was the Captain of a starship and we were surveying a planet. In orbit of the planet there was a mining ship. The mining ship came under attack from another vessel. We decided to respond but also alert our superiors for further information. It turned out I was captaining a Starfleet vessel and Starfleet ordered us to leave the system while they sent a small nearby fleet to investigate and respond to the distress call. The attacking vessel then focussed its fire on us. While under attack we received a message from the Klingon homework with chancellor Gowron and General Martok explaining that in that ship there was a crew of genetically engineered Klingons who were angry the entire time and wanted to conquer the Klingon home world. After conquering them they would turn on the Federation and then the galaxy. They requested our help. Still in the middle of a space dogfight with this alien vessel I was about to respond when my dog jumped on me and woke me up. Back to real life - the galaxy will have to wait until my dog has done her business this morning.
