I am looking at this cheque and realising that it could be the very first and the very last cheque I ever receive from Volkswagen Group South Africa. The workshop was bad guys. Bad. I fear for the organisers. I went there expecting to give a presentation on volunteerism. I had worked on the presentation. But the topic was changed on the spot because someone else was doing that. So I decided to speak about my real passion: Black Consciousness. Unfortunately, that backfired. While I was giving my presentation, one rude White man started making snide remarks. I stopped and addressed him accordingly. I told him to allow me to finish first and engage me when I am done; to never disrespect me like that. He got up angrily and walked out of the room. His White associates followed him out in solidarity. The workshop was just so tense after that. I am leaving Uitenhage now. I am happy with the delivery I made. I have no regrets. Steve Biko would be proud of me.
