I am making a public complaint. This screen shot from Friends of Oak Ridge schools was sent to me privately. It is a screen shot posted by Mike Mahathy. Caption: This is what one person think about our teachers. Screen shot below. This is a lie of omission. What you did not post was my next comment, copied and pasted now by me: Martha Maria Not all things, Mike. Some things, Yes. And it all starts at the top, in my opinion, from those who do so love call each other Dr. This and Dr. That. I dont think their high flying rhetoric goes much higher than a dog can wet. And I dont think the dissatisfaction expressed here (and in many other less public venues) is about the schools, the teachers, the aides, the good, good people in the trenches every day busting their tails to quote Sarah Waddell (and I believe that Sarah probably is busting her tail...she was my sons nursery school teacher and I KNOW shes a great teacher.) The dissatisfaction is with our current school administration and board. Its not the schools, its the management. And the management seems to be tone deaf, at best, to many. Worse, they seem to regard themselves as occupants of Mount Olympus, above reproach. You asked, so I reply, perhaps a little too candidly. But Im an old woman now and take a few liberties. on ipad, hard to type, will try to go back and edit errors.
