I am meet hours now from making, probably the most emotionally charged trip of my brief existence on this rock. To catch you up, back in March, I was contacted by my cousin, whom I never got the chance to meet because of some family issue which I may never know the details. Regardless, since then, she and I have started to form a bond that we both feel was a missing piece for us. Tomorrow Im taking the family to California to meet up with my cousin. But it gets better. Tomorrow also marks the first meeting with my uncle. I have been a ball of nerves for this trip. I can only imagine how my dad feels because Monday my uncle will make the trek to Tucson and see his brother for the first time in over 30 years. Its going to be a very interesting time in the coming months...but I am looking forward to what this new chapter brings
