I am miffed at the fact that supporters of General Buhari say emphatically that the Certificate issue has been solved. How Untrue and offensive! The certificate and its release has been marred with a lot of INCONGRUITY that one doesnt need to travel all the way to Beijing to know that this is just an attempt to clutch at straws. Consider the following: 1. At one and the same time, we are hearing that the General graduated from Provincial College Katsina and Government College Kaduna. Except for a name change, this cannot be because A thing CANNOT both BE and NOT BE at the same time as A CANNOT both BE A and NOT A at the same time as we say in Logic! But if we grant the argument of the Buhari Protagonists that the school had a name change, we will be compelled to further ask: Did Katsina State exist in 1961? The answer is in the Negative. What existed in 1961 was the Northern Region hence the lead debaters of the Buhari camp must find a way of FINE TUNING this argument like we say in Apologetics. 2. The Picture on the Result released is a current picture. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. The General said he graduated in 1961 hence right reason demands that a 1961 picture of the General should hug his result and not the present picture. Thus we are forced to conclude that the result was a hurried attempt to salvage the collapsed Reputation of a Man repeatedly trumped up as INCORRUPTIBLE. 3. We have also seen a recommendation letter from the Principal of the said Provincial Secondary School Katsina in 1961 asking the Army to admit General Buhari on the recommendation that he will pass his WASSCE Exams when he sits for them. This is a textbook illustration of putting the Cart before the Horse, a veritable definition of Mediocrity and an assault on all the Morality the General stands for These and many more worrying issues disturb the mind and make it a collective insult on us all to say that the General has discharged the onerous burden on his shoulder. Friends, the Burden of Proof still rests on the General and the APC. As far as we are concerned, the APC has no Presidential Candidate. The General should apologise to us all and throw in the towel. The hard truth is that the Generals Reputation has been stained and stained for Life. We cannot have General Buhari as President in this circumstance if we must be forward looking as we intend to.
