I am more pumped up about the cross than ever, both the one that Jesus bore and the one that he empowers me to bear!! Cling to it! Its the only thing we can boast in, and we can sure boast in it! We have to pass through that death in order to experience his resurrection. Cross-less Christianity is so BLAH. If youre feeling blah or double-minded and peace-less, go get yoself a cross!! Examine your life up against the word of God, God will let you know whats holding you back from his joy--and then you can nail it to your very own cross! Ugh! So glorious! (So counter-intuitive. Such mystery. Wow.) I boast only in the horrible execution of the Son of God, his promise that I was executed along with him if I claim my cross and follow him, his promise that I will RISE. I am seriously Steven Neil Widner-giggling over this right now!
