I am never one to complain, cause I simply dont let anything get to me, but I need opinions and facts from yall being I consider you all my friends. My oldest son is a honor student, quiet and good kid, never no trouble at school or home, and soft spoken... This year, he started elementary school, and the principal rules are that all boys are to have their hair cut over their ears. Well, his hair looks like the skateboarder look, but clean and styled, but needless to say, he was bummed, but cut it anyway w/ not much feedback. The principal told him last week he needs another hair cut due to it was slightly touching his ears. His beautician was out because of foot surgery, so we had to wait (principal never sent a note home to us about him needing a hair cut, even though he told us). Come to find out, she put him in detention for 1st and 2nd hour, missing a test because of this! Is this even legal for her to do this???? This is not a private school, and why single out all boys to cut their hair over their ears? I understand somewhat u cant have mo-hawk because of distractions, but he is perfectly groomed and nothing out the ordinary. .. So girls can have hair over ears, but boys cant? Something just dont seen right, and before I act out or Google this, or even get the news and a attorney possibly involved, I need advice and input on this matter. .. I been praying on this, but they about 2 make me act a fool up in here for anothers self centered rules!
