I am new to the group, I got this automatic 1987 528e that needed a transmission due to a previous owner putting water in the transmission, lol. I got a used automatic transmission that came out of an 1989 325i. Paid a buddy to put it in and it wouldnt crank. The car sat for for a good 8-10 months at a transmission shop because it wouldnt crank. They claimed it needed a new tranny. Money was an issue so i get the car towed to me..blah..blah..blah. Finally got this thing cranked today and drove it about 2 miles shifting terribly. Its shifting extremely late or revving randomly and idling high. s told to get it flushed, add new fluid and get the filter changed. Suggestions?
