I am not Indigenous, I am a white woman living on country not my own. I just want to acknowledge that in sharing this. I am contemplating in watching this as a white educator just how few Indigenous voices often make their way into our settings, and how they have to even make their way because we have so marginalised those voices, through genocide, racist policies, through paternalism, through white curriculum, through theft and dispossession. And this voice, Alice Eathers, came through on my feed and I want you to listen too and if you are a white educator, think about how you are going to work harder to give back the space we have taken by an inheritance of murder. And how we can do that without policing the voices of our Indigenous community or insisting they be nice or apolitical...
