I am not a doomsayer, but there are indications in the markets and in the various natural catastrophes we have been seeing recently that give pause for intelligent concern. If calamity comes in this country, it troubles me how few people have been participating in growing, canning, drying and preparing food. Most people know that a food shortage is a real possibility, yet make no effort as long as they have enough. But such food problems happen rapidly, so what then? What about how we look to our needs for water? Everyone has had10 thousand excuses to not do what each person should be doing to feed themselves and be faithful with what they have. Too little too late is the alarm. We never miss our water until the well is dry. I have heard so many scenarios, but if people are forced to leave their homes or not. They should be leaving an abundance of food behind. There should be so much food everywhere that anyone who may be fleeing persecution and struggling has the provisions to live. One group or person may not eat their own provisions, but each may be supported by the provisions of anothers hard work. Just think about it. None of us should be so dependent on the grocery store for water and food that we can not live without them, or live without taking from the mouth of others who have done the work.
